Prescriptions

Repeat Prescriptions

If you are on regular treatment your doctor may agree to you having repeat medication for a period of time, without making an appointment.

In the interests of safety, we do not accept requests for repeat prescriptions over the telephone.

Ordering Repeat Prescriptions

You can order a repeat prescription in the following ways:

Please allow 3 working days for routine prescriptions.

Local Pharmacy Services

The local pharmacists also operate a repeat prescription service whereby they will order your medication for you and save you the bother of dropping the form into the health centre.

Please discuss this with your chosen pharmacist.

Medication Reviews

Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip.

Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
