Clinics and Services
We offer a range of services including the below. For more information, please visit our Health Review and Assessment Clinic.
Asthma and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) Monitoring Clinic
We would like to invite all our patients who are asthmatic or have chronic chest problems to make an appointment with our asthma nurse.
The aim is to help patients understand their condition, monitor, control and enable them to lead a normal lifestyle without crises.
If you have been advised by the surgery to submit an annual review of your asthma symptoms please complete our Asthma Review form. If your symptoms are deteriorating or you are having any concerns please book an appointment with our nurse.
If you have been advised by the surgery to submit a COPD assessment please complete our COPD Assessment form.
Cervical Smear Clinic
We offer all women a cervical smear test every three to five years in accordance with the NHS cervical screening schedule, or more frequently if it is indicated.
This is a simple screening test which can give early warning of cancer of the cervix (neck of the womb) when it is at a treatable stage. As it is possible to develop these pre-cancerous changes at any age it is important that women have the test done regularly.
If you would like a cervical smear, please use our Consulting Room to request an appointment.
Long-term complications of diabetes can be minimised or avoided by good diabetic care and control.
Appointments can be booked with our nurse which involves:
- Monitoring control
- Educational advice
- Health screening for the annual review
- Appointment with the podiatrist and dietitian (if appropriate)
We now hold Minor Surgery Clinics at Sunbury Health Centre.
Please see any of our GP’s to be referred to the clinic. You will then be contacted by one of our health care assistants to arrange an appointment.
Before you attend your appointment for your surgery you will need to read and follow the guidance in the pre-op leaflet.
Medical developments with regard to wax removal from ear canals are resulting in an increasing number of GP surgeries moving away from offering ear syringing in favour of microsuction.
New microsuction procedures show that this is a superior way of removing wax from ears and doesn’t require pressurised water syringing.
If you would like to use our ear microsuction service, please book a microsuction appointment.
You will be booked into a 10 minute appointment with our Nurse, who will assess your requirements by checking your ears.
If microsuction is suitable for you, you will be provided with guidance on pre-procedure care and then booked into our microsuction clinic.
The appointments within the microsuction clinic are for 30 minutes.
You do not need to see a GP to check your ears. Our nursing staff are the right clinicians for this condition.
Before you attend your appointment for microsuction you will need to read and follow the guidance in the pre-procedure leaflet: Ear Microsuction – Pre-procedure Guidance.
